Why download the WHES PTO App?

The easiest way to update your contact information and get quick access to the WHES PTO Directory no matter where you are is using the Membership Toolkit App.

 

Having in-your-pocket access to the Directory can be very handy!

  

Imagine a scenario where you run into another WHES Caregiver at a restaurant but you can't remember their name. Your child yells "Jane" as they run over to play with their schoolmate. If you can find a discrete moment, you can pull up the Membership Toolkit App, search for "Jane," and possibly figure out the name of the caregiver who is with them.

 

The Membership Toolkit App Directory is a great tool for reaching out to other families to make playdates. Using the app you can also access the WHES PTO website.

Downloading the WHES PTO (Membership Toolkit) App

  • Membership ToolkitCreate your Membership Toolkit account on the web.
  • Search for 'Membership Toolkit' in your devices app store.
  • Log in to the app using your Membership Toolkit credentials.
  • Select ‘Witchcraft Heights PTO’ if asked.

 

 

Optional: Rename your Membership Toolkit app

If you are concerned you might not be able to remember how to search for the WHES PTO App, since it is named Membership Toolkit by default, consider changing the name of the app to 'WHES Witchcraft PTO.'

  • Instructions for Apple products
    • WitchcraftHeightsPTO_IconPress and hold Witchcraft Heights owl image to the right to "Save to Photos" on your iOS device.
    • Search for the ‘Shortcuts’ app on your iOS device (or download it from the App Store).
    • Click the + in the top right corner.
    • Select ‘Open App.’
    • Tap on the blue letters ‘App’ near the top of the screen.
    • Search for or find ‘Membership’ and select the Membership Toolkit app.
    • Click ‘Open App’ at the very top center of the screen.
    • Select ‘Rename.’
    • Rename the app (recommended: ‘WHES Witchcraft PTO') to make it easier to find any of the words if you are searching for the app.
    • Click the checkmark or ‘Done.’
    • Click on ‘WHES PTO Witchcraft’ in the top center, select ‘Add to Home Screen.’
    • Click on the 'Image' tab below your background photo and choose ‘Photo.’
    • Find the WHES owl image in your Photos and click ‘Choose.’
    • Click ‘Add’ in the upper-right corner.

You should now be able to search for ‘witchcraft,’ ‘whes,’ or ‘pto’ to easily find the PTO app.

 

 

Updating your Student's Classroom Assignment using the App

  • Open the App.

  • Click on Family Information.

  • Update any information that needs to be changed.

  • Click on Next Step.

  • Check your Student Information. (Students have already been promoted to the next grade level.)

  • Choose the Classroom Teacher for each of your students.

  • Add any additional Students.

    • There is a 'Not Assigned Yet' option if your student has not been assigned a teacher yet.

    • We will reach out to anyone who chooses 'Not Assigned Yet' option in the future to remind them to update their information. (For example, after Kindergarten assignments are made.) We want to be sure that every family is receiving the information that related to their student's grade and classroom.

 

 

Updating your Privacy Information using the App

  • Open the App.

  • Click on Directory & Publish Preferences.

  • Choose if you want your information published in the WHES PTO Directory.

  • Specify what information you wish to publish using the checkmarks.

  • Click on Save.

 

 

Finding your Student's Classmates using the Directory on the App

  • Open the App.

  • Click on Directory.

  • Click on the filter icon on the top right.

  • Click on Choose Teacher and select the Classroom. (If you are looking immediately after an update email was sent, these might take a while for other families to update.)
